Description
Español: Una vez cayó Zaragoza, a los musulmanes que se habían refugiado en Tudela no les quedó más remedio que aceptar las condiciones de Alfonso I el Batallador y rendirse en 1119. Respetaron sus vidas y tierras, pero les obligaron a salir de la ciudad y asentarse extramuros. Sobre el cerro de Santa Bárbara se levantó primero la alcazaba mora y sobre ella el castillo-palacio de los reyes navarros. Desde ella se dominaba la ribera de Navarra y sus excelentes huertas. La Verdura de Tudela y zonas colindantes tiene merecida fama y alcanza sus más altas cotas gastronómicas en la menestra de verduras.
