Summary[edit]

Description

Founded in 1854, this place started as a Catholic girls' school – The Convent of The Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ). There is a special door, "The Gate of Hope". In the historical years, due to poverty, many babies were abandoned here for the Catholic nuns to look after.

Today, it has been converted into an entertainment spot for restaurants, pubs and shops for tourists and locals alike.
