Summary

[edit]
Description One of three new army data centers that has started operations. It's in the country, but that's a military training area. The other two facilities are secret, one is not yet built. Because construction work of this magnitude can hardly be kept secret, with the others there is made a deliberate confusion about names and locations. Although this one is operated by the army, it is also used by the civilian departments of the federal administration. It is used by the federal office for IT and telecommunications (BIT) together with the army command support base (FUB) and the IT service center ISC-EJPD. The army command support base (FUB) is responsible for smooth round-the-clock operations. The vast building consists of 16000 cubic meters of concrete, 2200 tons of steel with 2500 sockets and over 375 kilometers of cable. Here the three main parts can be seen: The power house in front, with the generators for the emergency power and facilities of the ventilation. In the middle is the main building with the data center modules. The rooms for the servers are housed in the modules. The main building is 36 m high. On the roof are cooling systems and solar panels. Behind it is the logistics building. All administrative units are housed there, such as access control to the rooms classified as "safety zones", the locks for the delivery of new devices, the workplaces and lounges of the FUB operating team and test rooms.
