Description
English: U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Stanley S. Nicolay beside a Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat, probably just before deploying to the Pacific in 1942. He eventually shot down three Mitsubishi G4M "Betty" bombers at Guadalcanal With Marine Fighting Squadron 224 (VMF-224) of the Cactus Air Force.
