Notes QARANC buttons (x4) belonged to 425405 Major Beatrice Goodey, QARANC Beatrice Annie Hebe Goodey, known as Betty, was born in 1925. She trained as a nurse in the 1940s and subsequently joined the Queen Alexandra Army Nursing Corps. About 1953 Betty Goodey was posted to the Middle East, and served with the QAs in the Canal Zone, in Tripoli, and Bhengazi,. Circa 1967, after retiring from army service Betty Goodey left England. She emigrated, initially to NSW, Australia where she registered as a Nurse, and then on to NZ becoming a public health nurse and supervisor.
