Finest mixture. /qHESE magnificent New Giant- ^ Flowered Pansies, when first introduced, were accurately shown by a beautiful colored plate in our Cata- logue for 1888. Neither the plate nor the Pansies have since been equaled by any of the new strains, so widely advertised. The individual flowers frequently measure two and a half to four inches across; of perfect form, circular shape, they are also of unusual substance. In colors they embrace the distinct types named below. The plants are also quite remarkable (in contrast with most giant- flowered Pansies) for their compact, bushy jrowth and free-flowering character. The Defiance Pansies produce flowers of the rgest size, most perfect form and richest color TREE'S DEFIANCE PANSIES, Mixed. Embraciug new seed of all the types described below, in unequaled Per pkt. 20 cts.; 3 pkts. for 50 cts., or 7 pkts. for $1.00. j^^^The following separate varieties of Bin-pee's Defiance Pansies are each 20 cts. per pkt.; three pkts. for 50 cts., or any seven pkts. for $1.00. 1. Giant Auricula.—Large flowers of rare shades. 2. Giant Royal Purple.—Flowers of unusual size; magnificent, brilliant- urp deep, rich royal purple in color. 3. Giant Pure Gold.—Extremely showy bright golden-yellow flowers, 4. Giant Fancy Striped.—Enormous flowers ly flamed and striped, in many colors. 5. Giant Emperor William.—Lovely ultramarine blue, with distinct dark blue eye. 6. Giant Beaconsfield.—Extra large flowers, of d^p violet, shading off" at the top to a white hue. 7. Giant Black.—Doubled in size from the old Faust. 8. Giant Spotted White.—Giant pure white flowers, with deep violet spots on each of the lower petals. 9. GIANT FANCY Three Spotted.—The ground colors are of all shades, and the three lower petals are each distinctly marked with a large blotch. 10. GIANT FANCY Five Spotted.—No other Fancy Pansies can equal these. Each petal has a large, distinct blotch, after the manner of the Cassiefs Giant Odier Pansy, but greatly improved in form and size. 11. Giant Show.—This class embraces the best "self" or solid colors,—all gigantic flowers. jg^The entire collection of twelve packets (including Mixed) for $1.60.
