Description
Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt den „schiefen“ Bergfried der Ruine der Burg Galenbeck, Sie war im Mittelalter eine der bedeutendsten Burganlagen Mecklenburgs. Zur Hauptburg gehörte der Turmhügel (Motte), ein Bergfried und der Wohnturm. Im Jahr 1236 kam die Burg als ehemals pommerscher Besitz an die Mark Brandenburg. Sie ging 1304 mit dem Vertrag von Vietmannsdorf an die Herrschaft Stargard und kam so unter mecklenburgische Herrschaft. Im Jahr 1408 wurde ein Ritter Vicco Riebe als Besitzer der Burg genannt, dessen Familie die Burg noch bis ins 17. Jahrhundert.
