Church of Our Lady, Star of the Sea, Bundoran, County Donegal, Ireland


English: Three-light stained glass window in the east wall of the chancel, with depictings of the Adoration of the Shepherds with the credo et incarnatus est de Spiritu Sancto ex Maria Virgine et homo factus est (left light), the Crucifixion with a quote from the Nigh Office on Good Friday: videte, omnes populi si est dolor similis sicut dolor meus (centre light), and Pentecost with a quote of the Liber Usualis: Spiritus Domini replevit orbem terrarum. Inscription in the bottom line: Pray for the Very Rev Patrick J. Maguire Pastor Church of the Immaculate Conception Irvington New York. (According to this record, Patrick J. Maguire was the first pastor of that church from 1873–1893.) Alistair Rowan writes about this window in The Buildings of Ireland: North West Ulster, p. 156: The interior is remarkable for [..] the bright, clearly coloured E window.
