For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Güterbahnhof ADN-ZB Häßler 3.2.1976 Dresden: Täglich bis zu 5000 (5000) Güterwagen werden auf dem Güterbahnhof Dresden-Friedrichstadt rangiert. In 3 Schichten bewältigen die Eisenbahner dabei die immer größer werdenden Transportaufgaben. Durch neue Rationalisierungsobjekte wie Bremseinrichtungen, Stellwerke und einen Ablaufberg wollen die Eisenbahner ihre Leistungen weiter steigern und somit für die zügige Abfertigung auch des Export-Importhandels sorgen, der sich durch die zunehmenden Integrationsbeziehungen zwischen den sozialistischen Ländern ständig erhöht. Bedingt durch die gegenwärtige Frostperiode müssen die Werktätigen des Bahnhofs besonders auf die Funktionstüchtigkeit der über 300 (300) beheizten Weichen auf dem Güterumschlagplatz achten.
