For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Prager Straße, Neubauten, Hotels Zum Beitrag "Verjüngte Schönheit an der Elbe - Ein Februartag in Dresden" ADN-ZB Häßler - 11.2.1975 - ha. Dresden ist 30 Jahre nach seiner sinnlosen Zerstörung im zweiten Weltkrieg durch anglo-amerikanische Bomber eine verjüngte Schönheit aus moderner Architektur und wiederaufgebauter barocker Pracht, die man beispielsweise am Zwinger bewundern kann. Unser Bild zeigt das großzügig gestaltete Bauensemble an der Prager Straße mit dem Interhotelkomplex u.a. gesellschaftlichen Einrichtungen. Der Sozialismus bewirkte die Blüte dieser alten Kulturstadt an der Elbe. (Siehe dazu Foto-Nr. P0211-0300 und P0211-0301 sowie P0211-0303 und P0211-0304)
