For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Dresden, Binnenhafen, Lastkahn, Verladekran ADN-ZB Häßler 25.5.1973 Dresden: Hafenstadt im Binnenland. Steigende Umschlagleistungen verzeichnen die fünf Elbehäfen des VEB Binnenhäfen Oberelbe: Dresden-Friedrichstadt, Dresden-Neustadt, Meißen, Riesa und Torgau. In diesem Jahr wird sich die Umschlagleistung durch den zunehmenden Import um weitere 300000 Tonnen erhöhen. Bis zu 20 Motorschiffe und Schubeinheiten machen täglich an den Kais fest.
