For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Schaar Tre-Qu 13.6.1964 Acht Lehrlings-Forschungskollektive der Betriebsberufsschule des Elektrochemischen Kombinates Bitterfeld arbeiten gegenwärtig an Exponaten für die diesjährige Messe der Meister von Morgen. Die Forschungsaufgaben sind ausnahmslos Themen aus dem Plan Neue Technik. Die Mitglieder der Jugendforschungsbrigade- es sind Lehrlinge, die den Beruf eines Chemielaborante erlernen - Bärbel Schönherr, Lehrmeister Ottokar Richardt und Christiane Günzel (v.l.n.r.) prüfen hier das alkalische Waschwasser auf Klarheit. Sie haben sich die Aufgabe gestellt, neue Verfahren zur Hormit-Herstellung zu entwickeln. Hormit ist ein Zwischenprodukt für die Herstellung von Unkrautbekämpfungsmitteln.
