For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild Sta 15.10.1963 VEB Erdölverarbeitungswerk Schwedt-Oder: "... bis das Werk steht!" "Wir haben schon -zig Kilometer Rohre isoliert, nicht selten in 100 Meter Höhe. In Schwedt werden wir Regen, Hitze, Sturm und Schnee solange trotzen, bis das Werk steht", das sind die Worte Fritz Hussecks von den Isolierklempner auf der Großbaustelle des Erdölverabeitungswerkes (im Vordergrund rechts). Die Arbeiter der Isolierklempner ist besonders im Winter oder Hochsommer sehr schwer, aber auch sie tun alles, um durch hohe Qualität der Arbeitsergebnisse den geplanten Probelauf der ersten Ausbaustufe am 1.4.1964 zu sichern.
