For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Dreharbeiten "Nackt unter Wölfen", Beyer, Apitz, Köfer
Zentralbild-Brüggmann 16.8.1962 DEFA dreht "Nackt unter Wölfen" Das Hohelied des antifaschistischen Widerstandskampfes im Konzentrationslager Buchenwald, der heldenhaften Rettung des polnischen Knaben Stephan vor der SS singt Bruno Apitz in seinem Roman "Nackt unter Wölfen". Das Buch wurde bis Ende 1961 in über 18 Sprachen übersetzt. Nach dem weltberühmten Roman und dem Drehbuch von Bruno Apitz dreht die künstlerische Arbeitsgruppe "Roter Kreis" der DEFA in der Filmstadt Babelsberg bei Potsdam den gleichnamigen Film. Regie führt Heinrich Greif Preisträger Frank Beyer. UBz: Bruno Apitz (rechts und Frank Beyer arbeiten eng zusammen bei den Drehaufnahmen. In der Mitte Schauspieler Herbert Köfer, der den 2. Lagerführer vom KZ Buchenwald SS Hauptsturmführer Kluttig, verkörpert. Abgebildete Personen:
