For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Quis-Wl-At. 28. 4. 1962 Neue Schnellstraße Adlergestell-Schönefeld eingeweiht. Die Hauptstadt der DDR verfügt seit 28. 4. 1962 über eine neue 4. 13 Kilometer lange Schnellstraße mit Autobahncharakter. Sie verbindet das Grünauer Adlergestell mit dem südlichen Verkehrsknotenpunkt Schönefeld, wo sich auch der Zentralflughafen befindet, und mündet in die Fernverkehrsstraße 119 ein. Die neue Betonschallbahn ist 15 Meter breit und mit einem weissen Mittelstreifen versehen, der beide Fahrbahnseiten trennt. Oberbürgermeister Friedrich Ebert-Mitglied des Politbüros des ZK der SED-gab um 10. 50 Uhr in Anwesenheit des Ministern für Verkehrswesen, Erwin Kramer, des Ministers für Bauwesen, Ernst Scholz, und anderen Persönlichkeiten die neue Schnellstraße für den Verkehr frei. UBz: Die ersten Autos befahren die neue Schnellstraße. |
