For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Sturm Hein-Qu 27.7.1961 Dieselmotore in alle Welt 6 500 Menschen arbeiten im volkseigenen Schwermaschinenbauwerk in Magdeburg, das den Namen des von der Reaktion ermordeten Arbeiterführers "Karl Liebknecht" trägt. Die Hauptproduktion des Werkes sind Dieselmotoren für Schiffe und Transportfahrzeuge. Es gibt wohl kein Meer und keinen grösseren Fluß in der Welt, wo nicht Dieselmotoren aus dem "Karl Liebknecht" Werk Magdeburg zu finden sind. Der Betrieb exportiert seine Qualiätserzeugnisse in alle sozialistischen Länder, aber auch nach Finnland, die VAR, Kuba, Burma, Brasilien, Argentinien, Ghana, Belgien, Holland, Italien, Türkei und Jemen. UBz.: Neben der Produktion von Dieselmotoren werden im Werk auch Anlagen für die chemische Industrie installiert. Der Schweißer Ernst Dybiona arbeitet an einem Kessel für Chemieausrüstungen |
