For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.

FDGB-Urlauberschiff in Endmontage. Sichtbare Fortschritte hat der Bau des FDGB-Urlauberschiffes "Fritz-Heckert" auf der "Mathias-Thesen-Werft" gemacht. An Bord sind zur zeit Monteure aus sieben Zulieferbetrieben. Rote Brigaden aus drei weiteren Werften haben in sozialistischer Hilfe einzelne Bauabschnitte zur kompletten Fertigstellung übernommen. Ab Januar 1961 werden weit über 1000 Arbeiter im Drei-Schicht-System alles daran setzen, das Schiff vorfristig bis zum 15. April fertigzustellen.
