For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Zentralbild-Krueger Me-Wz 5.5.1960 Großbauten des Siebenjahrplanes. Erstes Tanklager des Erdölverarbeitungswerkes Schwedt geht der Vollendung entgegen. Eine Lebensader der zukünftigen chemischen Industrie der DDR wird das grosse Erdölverarbeitungswerk bei Schwedt-Oder. Bis 1963 soll die erste Verarbeitungsstufe fertiggestellt sein. Zur Zeit sind etwa 70% der Montagearbeiten für das erste Tanklager vollbracht. Das Tanklager besteht aus neun Tanks mit je 5000 m³ Inhalt und wird Dieselkraftstoff aufnehmen. Ausserdem wird mit Hochdruck am Heizhaus gearbeitet, denn seine Fertigstellung ist entscheidend für die Beheizung der Baustelle während der Wintermonate.
