For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Tribsees, Infografik zur Schweinemast Zentralbild Stolp 3.3.1960 Mastzeit verkürzen. In 6 Monaten sind durch Schnellmast die Schweine der LPG Tribsees, Kreis Stralsund, mit 110 - 115 kg schlachtreif. Das erreicht der Schweinemeister Schwanebeck u.a. durch die Verwendung von Mischfutter, das er nach seinen Erfahrungen zusammengestellt hat. Es setzt sich zusammen aus 35 Prozent Gemengeschrot, 20 Prozent Kleie, 25 Prozent Weizen, 10 Prozent Roggen und 10 Prozent Eiweißkonzentrat und einer Kalkzugabe. Damit kommt die LPG dem dänischen Welthöchststand sehr nahe. (Mittel der dänischen Herdbuchzucht beträgt 2,93 kg Getreideeinheiten für 1 kg Gewichtszunahme). Die verkürzte Mastzeit machte es der LPG möglich, in 2 Durchgängen im Jahr 500 dt Schweinefleisch zu produzieren. Auch die Zeit der Kümmerer ist vorbei. Jedes Tier erhält je Tag 20 Gramm Betapan.
