For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Diskussion über Aussaat von Silomais Zentralbild Wittig 22.5.1958 Mitarbeiter des Kreisrates Eisenberg leiten Silomais-Aussaat an. Auch im Bezirk Erfurt wurden in den Kreisen Arbeitsgruppen unter Leitung von Ratsmitgliedern gebildet. Diese Arbeitsgruppen haben die Aufgabe, in den MTS-Bereichen die Silomais-Aussaat anzuleiten. UBz: Der Kreiszootechniker beim Rat des Kreises Eisenberg Bez. Gera (rechts) diskutiert mit dem werktätigen Einzelbauer Walter Otto (links) und dessen Sohn Rolf (2.v.l.) über den erhöhten Silomais-Anbau. Der Bürgermeister des Ortes Königshofen-Kreis Bisenberg (2.v.r.), Erich Rauscher ist ebenfalls an der Diskussion beteiligt. Der werktätige Einzelbauer Otto hat die Vorteile des Silomaises längst erkannt. Vor drei Jahren hat er bereits mit seinem Sohn einen Silo gebaut (Vordergrund), in den er wechselweise Rübenblätter und Silomais einlagert.
