For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Bauer mit Maispflanzen Zentralbild Biscan Weiß-Qu 3.9.1957 Beratung der Mais-Fachleute der DDR. Auf Einladung des Ministeriums für Land- und Forstwirtschaft und des ZK der SED kamen am Wochenende mehr als 500 Bauern, Wissenschaftlicher und Landmaschinentechniker auf dem Volksgut Schwaneberg-Altenweddingen, Kreis Wanzleben, zusammen, um die Ergebnisse des Mais-Anbaus in der DDR zu beraten und verschiedene Erntemaschinen zu erproben. Die Beratung fand auf den Maisfeldern des Volksgutes statt. Die Teilnehmer der Beratung konnten sich davon überzeugen, dass der Mais besonders in der Börde ganz hervorragend wächst und mehr als 3 Meter Höhe erreicht. UBz: Aktivist Richard Kanemeier, Traktorist auf dem Volksgut Schwaneberg-Altenweddingen zeigt zwei Maispflanzen von besonders gutem Wuchs.
