For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Schwiesel, Getreideernte, Strohpresse Zentralbild Weiss 27.8.1956 Es geht um Volkes Brot! Kreis Teterow, Mecklenburg MTS Thürkow kämpft um die Einbringung der Friedensernte 1956 Siehe Begleittext 41037-1-13N Schneller, leichter und verlustloser geht die Ernte mit Hilfe der modernen Technik vonstatten. Auf einen Schlag mit Hafer-Gerste-Gemenge der LPG " Neuland" in Schwiesel ernten Mähdrescherfahrer Helmuth Kappel und sein Beifahrer Harry Radtke. Dem Mähdrescher folgt die Pick-up-Presse, die die Strohschwaden auf den Anhänger befördert. Dort steht Genossenschaftsbauer Wilhelm Falk, der die Strohballen entgegennimmt.
