USA-Spionage-Tunnel unter DDR-Gebiet
Der amtierende Militärkommandant des sowjetischen Sektors von Berlin, Oberst Kozjuba, gab am Montagabend (23.4.1956) auf einer Pressekonferenz vor zahlreichen in- und ausländischen Journalisten bekannt, dass am 22.4.1956 von sowjetischen Truppen eine amerikanische Abhörzentrale im demokratischen Sektor Berlins ausgehoben wurde. Amerikanische Stellen hatten im Gebiet von Alt-Glienicke einen etwa 300 m langen Stollen angelegt, der zu den Fernmeldelinien der sowjetischen Truppen sowie zu den Fernmeldelinien der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik lief. Durch die Stollen ziehen sich Kabelleitungen, die vom amerikanischen Sektor ausgehen und an die Kabelleitungen der sowjetischen Truppen anschlossen wurde.
Im Anschluß an die Pressekonferenz fand eine Besichtigung der anerikanischen Abhörzentrale statt.

English: US spy tunnel under East German territory in Berlin discovered in 1956. The acting military commander of the Soviet sector of Berlin, Colonel Kozjuba, announced the discovery on Monday evening (23.4.1956) at a press conference that the 300 m long tunnel was found in the area of Old Glienicke and was intended to tap into both the telecommunications lines of the Soviet troops as well as the telecommunication lines of the German Democratic Republic.
