For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  LPG Hohendodeleben, Begutachtung von Maispflanzen
Zentralbild Bissan-Ga-Ho.-1 Motiv-1.8.1955 Genossenschaftsbauern helfen beim Vermehrungsanbau von Mais-Mais übertrifft in der Körnerproduktion alle anderen Futtergetreidearten und ist auch als Grünfutterpflanze vielen anderen überlegen. Der Ministerrat beschloß deshalb am 10. März, daß zur Beseitigung des Futtermangels noch in diesem Jahr 120.000 Hektar Mais angebaut werden. Für das Jahr 1956 sind 200.000 Hektar Mais vorgesehen. Die Genossenschaftsbauern der LPG "Pionier" in Hohendodeleben, Kreis Wansleben, beteiligen sich an der Saatgutgewinnung von Mais. Sie haben 1, 5 Hektar zur Vermehrung angebaut. UBz: Trotz des vielen Regens hat sich der Mais zufriedenstellend entwickelt. Der werktätige Einzelbauer Gustav Deckert (rechts), der auf dem Gebiet des Maisanbaues bereits Erfahrungen hat, stellte sich den Genossenschaftsbauern als Helfer und Berater zur Verfügung.
