For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Schmidt 2Mot. 24.12.1954 -2694-Hauptpostamt Gotha, Republiksieger im Massenwettbewerb des III.Quartals 1954 im Massenwettbewerb der Hauptpostämter der DDR wurde zum zweiten Mal in diesem Jahr das Hauptpostamt Gotha Siegerbetrieb und von der Regierung mit der Wanderfahne des Ministerrates, verbunden mit einer Prämie von DM 8.000.- ausgezeichnet. Die vorbildlichen Erfolge sind das Ergebnis des kameradschaftlichen Erfahrungsaustausches der Kollegen untereinander vor allem bei der Zeitungs- und Postzustellung, sowie im Schalterdienst.UBz: Die tägliche Zeitungsausgabe im Postzeitungsvertrieb mit den besten Zeitungszustellern (v.l.n.r.) Ursula Ludwig (Zeitungsausgabe), Clara Kött, Martha Krieger, Elisabeth Klein, Hedwig Hampf und die Kollegin Irma Sonnebald. " Wir freuen uns, dass wir im zweiten und dritten Quartal Sieger im Wettbewerb geworden sind, wenn es auch manchmal nicht so einfach war, so sind wir doch stolz, dass unsere kollektive Zusammenarbeit ihre Früchte getragen hat."
