For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Langenweddingen, Heuernte, Trocknung
Zentralbild Biscan-Wtj. 21.6.1954 Heu - richtig getrocknet - ist nährstoffreicher. Die Verbesserung der Futtergrundlage ist Voraussetzung für Steigerung der Viehbestände, Steigerung der Viehbestände bedeutet aber: mehr Milch, mehr Futter, mehr Fleisch. Eine einfache und wirkungsvolle Massnahme zur Steigerung der Grünlanderträge ist die Trocknung des Futterheues auf Gerüsten, auch "Reutern" genannt. Mehr Eiweiss und Stärke kann durch das Reutern dem Futter erhalten werden, als bei der sonst gebräuchlichen Bodentrocknung. UBz: "Eine lohnende Mehrarbeit", nennt der werktätige Einzelbauer Otto Denker in Langenweddingen das "Reutern" des Heues. Die Mühe des Baues der Trockengerüste wird durch höhere Leistungen der mit nährstoffreichem Heu gefütterten Kühe wieder wettgemacht. |
