For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Leipzig, Geographischen Zentralbibliothek, Globensammlung ADN-ZB Grubitzsch 19.10.89 Leipzig: Seltene historische Globen wie dieser Himmelsglobus aus dem Jahre 1798 von dem Franzosen Fortune gehören zum kostbaren Bestand der Geographischen Zentralbibliothek Leipzig. Die Globen sind in internationalen Katalogen erfaßt, die in Wien geführt werden. Mit rund 170.000 Büchern zählt die Leipziger Bibliothek zu den größten derartigen Einrichtungen in Europa. Die Sammlung wird sowohl von Wissenschaftlern als auch von Heimatforschern, Orts- und Hobbychronisten genutzt. (siehe 8N)
