For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.  Meißen, Frauenkirche
ADN-ZB Hiekel 29.4.87-A Bez. Dresden: Meißener Dächer - auch sie sind Zeugen der mittelalterlichen Vergangenheit des seit dem 10. Jahrhundert bestehenden Ortes. In der Stadtmitte ragt der achteckige Turm der Frauenkirche auf, der im Jahre 1547 entstand. Er beherbergt ein Glockenspiel aus Meißner Porzellan, das alle drei Stunden ertönt. In den vergangenen Jahren wurde der Turm umfassend restauriert. (s. auch Nr. 1987-0429-14 und 15!) |
