For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Großottersleben, Neubauer Funktionär der VdgB ZB-Biscan-29.8.1952 Stellungnahmen zur neuen Note der Sowjetunion an die Westmächte. UBz: Neubauer Otto Ölze II in Grossottersleben bei Magdeburg, Mitglied der SED und Ortsvorsitzender der VdgB (BHG), erklärt: "Die Amerikaner wollen uns eine ausländische Kommission ins Land schicken, die prüfen soll, ob gesamtdeutsche Wahlen überhaupt möglich wären. Auf eine solche Kommission legen wir gar keinen Wert. Wir Deutschen können über unsere innerdeutschen Angelegenheiten allein entscheiden. Deswegen halte ich es für richtig, dass die gesamtdeutschen Wahlen von einer deutschen Kommission aus Vertretern Ost- und Westdeutschlands vorbereitet werden, wie es in der neuesten sowjetischen Note vorgeschlagen wird."
