years. His abilityas a teacher is well and widely known. Mrs. Virginia L.Robinson, a graduate of Leland University, is Matron of theboarding department. LELAND ACADEMY. In November, 1893, the Trustees of the Slater HighSchool at Donaldsonville, La., made application for ac-ceptance as an auxiliary school, under the name of LelandAcademy, and were accepted by our Board. The Principal, Prof. S. S. Gray, is a graduate of ournormal department, and the school gives promise of successand usefulness. The Academy has the services of MissOctavie Genizena as directress of instrumental music, and Dr.John H. Lowery as lecturer in Physiology and Hygiene. NEW AUXILIARIES. During the present year, the Industrial High School atMonroe, La., and the Normal Institute at Ruston, La., haveapplied and been accepted as Leland Academies.
