trustees of the Slater High School atDonaldsonville, La., made application for acceptance as an auxiliaryschool, under the name of Leland Academy, and it was accepted byour Board. Mrs. George W. Osibin, a normal graduate of LelandUniversity, is the efficient Principal. Monroe Academy. Early in 1898, the Industrial High School at Monroe, La., wasadmitted to affiliation with us, having given satisfactory evidence ofability to meet our prescribed conditions. The Trustees have showncommendable enterprise in securing a valuable property for theschool, and good work is being done for industrial training. Largeclasses are maintained in music and sewing. Prof. Madison J.Foster, B. A., a graduate of Leland College, is the Principal. Opelousas High School. In February, 1902, the Opelousas High School formally madeapplication to become auxiliary to the Leland University. Theschool is a new one and bids fair to be useful. Prof. Firman P.Jackson, B. A., a graduate of our College, is the Principal.

Lei,and University. 25 Central Louisiana Academy. This well known school has for some years been under thecharge of Prof. W. R. Wright, a graduate of our Normal Depart-ment. The school has a large influence. It became auxiliary in 1902. Cheneyville Academy. The Academy at Cheneyville for some time has been sendingwell prepared students to the University. In 1902 it became auxili-ary according to the prescribed conditions. The school is very wellequipped. Prof. Albert Iv. Yates, B. A., of Iceland College,is the Principal. Bunkie Academy. Bunkie Academy has a good location. It is under the principal-ship of Prof. W. G. Thomas, one of our Normal students. Ithas twice enlarged, and is still cramped for room. It becameauxiliary in 1902. We have received a number of excellent youngpeople, well prepared, from this school. Houma Academy. The Fifth District Association established the Houma Academy.The building is in good condition.
