er-shoes, work-aprons. School dresses and underskirts must beof dark material. An extra charge will be made for white dresses,skirts and waists. The young men should provide themselves with suitable apparelfor the work hour, manual training, shop and agricultural work. It is specially desired that the dress of the pupils shall be simpleand inexpensive. Parents and guardians are urged to co-operatewith the school in this direction. Students are charged for any damage to their rooms or furniture,whether it be done while they are present in the room or absentfrom it, whether it be accidental or designed. All required text books and stationery may be bought at theUniversity book store for cash at the regular school-book, State- adopted price. Auxiliary Schools. In order to encourage the organization of local schools forprimary and grammar grade work, the University has made provisionfor taking under its charge auxiliary schools in the vicinity of NewOrleans upon the following conditions :

Inland University. 25 1. That a property fairly valued at $2,000 shall be provided bythe trustees and kept in repair by them, with taxes, insurance andincidental expenses paid. 2. That the tuitions, to the amount of at least $1.00 per monthfor each pupil, be reported and paid to the University before the 5thof each school month. 3. That the course of study prepared by the Iceland Faculty foruse in preparatory schools, or Leland Academies, be adopted bythe school with such text-books as are from time to time prescribed. 4. The teachers of the school are to be appointed by the Presi-dent of Iceland University in consultation with the trustees of theschool, and their names will appear as members of our Faculty.Their salaries are to be paid by the University on terms which maybe agreed upon ; to be adjusted with reference to the apparent needsand probable income of the school. 5.
