English: The mechanical hole card punch was used to manually punch hole cards for computers, mainly occasional cards or correction of damaged cards. The hole card is pushed in under the punch mechanism and each hole is punching column by pressing down, which a punch presses holes in the card. French Bull was the side of IBM the largest manufacturer of hole card equipment. The hole cards have been used at the computer center QZ (Stockholm Computer Center) in Stockholm. |
