BULETINUL SOCIETĂŢII DE SCIINŢE 367 meraten eckige Blocke von mehreren Kubikmetern Inhalt. welche uns aufs klarste die riesio-en Strandkong-lomerate darstellen. Die Gesteine. aus welchen diese Kong-lomerate bestehen, sind : Gneisse, weisse Ouarze. Amphibolite, Glimmerschiefer, Phyllite und griine Schiefer, Dolomite und Caprotinenkalk. AUe diese Ge- steine fmden sich anstehend in der grossen krystallinischen und permo-mesozoischen Klippe der Nordmoldau, so dass die Herkunft dieser Blocke zu keinem Zweifel Anlass geben kann. In dieser Hin- sicht ist charakteristisch das Vorhandensein der Caprotinenkalke, des Granitgneisses (Orthogneiss) mit rotem Feldspath, welcher im Liegenden der permo- und altmesozoischen-Zone des Aussenran- des der krystallinischen Masse der Ostkarpaten sehr verbreitet ist. Kongrlomerate mit kleineren Bestandteilen und q^robkornig^e, dickbankige oder beinahe massige Sandsteine sind ebenfalls auf dem Ostabhange der Stânişoara, im Bache Poiana-lungă, gut auf- geschlossen. Hier sind die Sandsteinbănke fast horizontal oder schwach nach Westen geneigt und setzen sich treppenformig bis zum RUcken der Stânişoara fort, wo sie unter 30^ gegen NE ein- fallen. Ihre Măchtigkeit wlirde ungefăhr 500 m. betragen. Die grosste Entwickelung erreichen diese Schichten jedoch et- was siidlicher auf dem Ostabhang-e des Bersfes Bivolu im Ouell- gebiete des Neamtzu-Baches, wo sie auf eine sehr grosse Măchtig- keit aufgeschlossen sind.
