Summary
[edit]DescriptionBuildings on Skaildaquoy Point., Holm - geograph.org.uk - 1071616.jpg |
English: Buildings on Skaildaquoy Point., Holm Right near the tip of Skaildaquoy Point. On maps, the village in the background is called St Mary's, but everyone refers to it as Holm Village(pronounced "ham"). It lies in the parish of Holm (pronounced "ham"). It is overlooked by Lamb Holm (pronounced "home") and Glimps Holm (pronounced "home"). So Holm can be pronounced two ways and the village is called something completely different to its name. Simple isn't it? |
