English: Buildings in Long Street, Tetbury Above the door of The Ferns, number 41, with its Doric columns and dentilled cornice, is inscribed "Sir William Romneys School". It "was bought in 1671 by Nathaniel Body, clothier, whose family occupied it until 1770 when it was sold to John Paul (d. 1787); members of the Paul family lived there until 1892" (From: 'Tetbury: Growth of the town and outlying settlements', A History of the County of Gloucester: Volume 11: Bisley and Longtree Hundreds (1976), pp. 260-264.
