Description
Deutsch: Das Brunnenhaus am Fuß des Burgbergs wurde 1924 beim Wiederaufbau der Burg Ludwigstein für die Trinkwasserversorgung neu errichtet. Heute dient es als Gästehaus. Hinter dem Gebäude wird eine Quelle in einen Brunnen gefasst, dessen Wasser in einen naturbelassenen Bachlauf übergeht. Als Teil der Burganlage wird das Brunnenhaus wegen seiner künstlerischen, geschichtlichen und baulichen Bedeutung als Kulturdenkmal geschützt. Dieser Bereich des Landschaftsschutzgebiets „Werratal zwischen Oberrieden und Wendershausen und Ludwigstein mit Hintergelände“ gehört zu einem der größten und ältesten Kirschenanbaugebiete des Landes. Vor allem die alten Bäume verleihen der Landschaft in ihrer Blütezeit und mit der Laubfärbung im Herbst einen besonderen Reiz.
