Français : Ancien port saulnier, cette place forte militaire était un port de guerre modernisé par Vauban. Mais la baisse du niveau de la mer et un envasement progressif ruinèrent sa vocation portuaire. C'était la patrie de Samuel de Champlain. Actuellement, une intense activité touristique assure sa prospérité.
