| Description |
English: Brookland Halt Former station building on the old Lydd and New Romney branch line. Brookland was opened in 1881 but downgraded to halt status in 1921. The station building was subsequently sold off in 1930 and has been a private residence ever since. The halt platform was actually on the right and can just about be made out under the vegetation, entrance was via a path from the A259 by the level crossing. All stations on the branch closed in 1967 though the track to Dungeness is still used for carrying aggregates and nuclear waste. |
