Culture: Brunei Origin: Southeast Asia: Insular / Indonesia / Jawa / Jawa Tengah (province) before 1941 approx 142cm (55 7 / 8in.) A decorative bronze cannon with a dragon's head supported by two Garudas, a combination of the dragon and bird. The cannon is probably from Brunei, the two birds were later cut in central Java. In the collection of the Historical Museum in Jakarta there is a similar cannon on a wooden stand that comes from Cirebon. Inventory number: TM-1472-1a Material: bronze metalworking Subcollection and keywords: Objects related to warNederlands: Bronzen kanon met sluitstuk en houten garuda's. Een bronzen sierkanon met drakenkop steunend op twee Garuda's, een combinatie van de draak en vogel. Het kanon is waarschijnlijk van Brunei, de twee vogels zijn later in midden Java gesneden. In de collectie van het Historisch Museum te Jakarta bevindt zich een vergelijkbaar kanon op een houten standaard dat uit Cirebon afkomstig is.
