Title
Bronze Age Razor (plan and reverse).
Description
English: In plan the razor is a sub-trapezoidal shape dating from the Early Iron Age, c. 800-600BC. The most narrow edge is moulded forming an elongated 'W' shape which borders a row of three circular holes. The central hole has a sub-triangular cell on either side, and on both surfaces as decoration. The side edges are slightly concave and are incomplete. The lower, widest edge is also incomplete, and the damage appears to be recent. In profile the razor tapers from the upper narrow edge to the lower widest edge. The surface of one face has small possible hammer marks towards the blade. The surface of the razor has a dark brown patina.
