Title
Bronze Age Barbed and Tanged Arrowhead
Description
English: A complete Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead (2150 BC - 1500 BC). The arrowhead is asymmetrical in plan and bi-facially worked. One of the barbs is narrower in width and much lower than the other one. In plan, one edge is slightly convex and the other edge is slightly concave. The ventral face is invasively worked but has a flat un-touched area at the centre and the dorsal face is invasively worked all over. On the dorsal face there are minute traces of cortex. The flint is largely pale to mid-grey and the cortex is off-white and buff in colour. 24.5 x 18.1 x 3.9mm. Weight: 1.20g.
