Title |
Bronze Age (possibly) : Sickle blade |
||
Description |
English: A cast copper alloy fragment possibly from a blade, (possibly a sickle). It is possible that this object dates to the Bronze Age, but a much later date cannot be ruled out.
The object measures 41.16 x 29.94mm. It is shapes like the end of a curved blade. One surface has two sloping facets the other surface is flat and unifaced. The metal is a mid reddish-brown colour. The surface of the metal is very corroded and large chunks have broken off the surface, exposing the lower layers of metal. |
