Summary[edit]

Description
English: The broad-billed warbler, formerly part of the "Old World warbler" group, resides in the monotypic genus Tickellia. Its habitat spans Bhutan, China, India, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, and Vietnam. Resembling the Mountain Tailorbird but with a shorter bill and more extensive rufous crown, it actively forages in dense undergrowth, particularly bamboo stands. Its melodic song comprises high thin “tseeeee” and “tsi-leeeeee” notes, accompanied by a lower-pitched rollicking sputter. With its olive-green hue, yellowish underparts, gray head, and distinct rufous crown, the broad-billed warbler is a captivating sight in its natural habitat.
