Summary

English: Bridge over the Malvern-Ashchurch railway line. This bridge runs over the disused Malvern-Ashchurch line, opened in 1861. The line was never used much except for the Ashchurch-Tewkesbury section. The Upton-Malvern section closed in December 1952 because the bridge over the Severn at Saxon's Lode needed major repairs, which could not be justified on cost grounds.
The bridge is still in fine shape and now runs over the nature reserve. 1609570 1609533 |
