Summary[edit]
DescriptionBridge interior whowing the original beautiful structure behind massive rebuild braces about 1970.jpg |
English: McGees Mills, PA covered bridge built by Mr. McGee of McGees Mills. He also built and owned a country Inn which housed up to 100 men in the attic when they were building the famous log rafts which went from this area downstream back in the 1800s.
I bought the 18 room house from his descendant. McGees were also the postmasters from the time the town had a post office until my father became postmaster after the last McGee postmaster died. ZipCODE 15755. I also grew up in McGees Mills and walked through that covered bridge every school day for 10 years. The tiny village of McGees Mills is on one side and a park with vacation homes along the river quadruples the population in summer.
