| Description |
English: Brewers, New England Street On the corner of Cross Street. Both streets were once residential providing housing for the workers of the nearby locomotive works. The works were closed in 1957 and the houses went soon being replaced by a non-descript street of showrooms and warehouses by the early 1960s. The works were demolished in 1969 though the pillars that supported an extension over the line to the goods yard still stand and the new houses in Stroudley Road have been built on the former support wall. |
