Português: Símbolos do município de Barbalha - Ceará, compostos pela Enciclopédia Heráldica Municipalista por iniciativa da administração de Antônio Costa Sampaio (1967 - 1971).

"Escudo samnítico encimado pela coroa mural de oito torres de argente. Em campo de bláu, um endentado de argente separando um terreno de sinópla carregado de uma faixa ondada de argente; firmado em chefe o sol heráldico de jalde.

Bordadura de argente lajeada de sable. como suportes, à dextra e sinistra do ESCUDO, hastes de cana-de-açúcar ao natural, entrecruzadas em pontas e sobrepostas por um livro aberto de jalde contendo a inscrição de divisa, em letras de sable: - << Lutemos com as armas da luz >> enfeixando os ornamentos exteriores e sobrepondo o livro aberto e as hastes de cana-de-açúcar, um litel de goles, contendo em letras argentinas o topônimo: << Barbalha >>, ladeado pela data 17-8-1846."
