  • Caption continues on back: "...The tray evidently contains the ingredients for a "Cocktail" an exhilarating "pick-me-up"--in the making of which most new arrivals soon become adepts.--The habit of consuming "Cocktails" is often so confirmed, that once an Amateur Jockey at Shanghai, is said to have believed that he was going into severe training for a Steeple Chase because for a short time before the races, he omitted the "Curac̜oa" in his Cocktail!"
