English: Bourdalou, late 18th century
Description
English: Boat-shaped vessel, one end higher than the other; vertical handle at high end. White ground with gilt rim, below which is gilt diaper patterns on blue. Beneath this area are rose and mulberry-colored swags with centered shell and rosette motifs, all with gilded outlines and details. Floral festoons hang from swags. Gilding on handle and around base.
